History of the DeVry
The DeVry University, located in Chicago was opened in the year 1931 as the Deforest training school. It was named after Lee Deforest, which were a colleague as well as friend of founder Herman A. DeVry.
The school was founded in 1931 as the Deforest training school and it officially became DeVry University in the year 2002.
The University has an enrolment of 65,000 undergraduate as well as graduate students. Besides this, the University has more than 90 campuses throughout the North America and it grants degrees in the field of business, arts, science, management etc.
The DeVry had 3 campuses in the Greater Toronto Area. The North York Campus at the Finch Avenue West and Highway 400 moved to progress Avenue in the Scarborough.
Apart from this, there was another campus that was located in Mississauga on the Chedworth way in 1997. Later both the locations closed and were re- located to Calgary in the year 2003.
