Amridge University

Amridge is a private, co-educational university and is affiliated to the Churches of Christ. The University’s main campus is situated in Montgomery, Alabama. It has been previously known by a number of different names such as The Regions University, Southern Christian University and The Alabama Christian School of Religion.

The Amridge University was established way back in 1967 as the Alabama Christian School of Religion with a main objective to provide Christian Counselling and to train Ministers in Bible.However, Amridge has now expanded its curriculum to other degrees as well

Accreditations

Amridge University is affiliated to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since the year 1989 and grants a number of Bachelors, Masters as well as Doctorate degrees to its students such as Doctorate in Ministry, Doctorate in Philosophy, Masters of Divinity, Masters of Science, Masters of Arts, Bachelors of Science, Bachelors of Arts as well as Associates of Arts.

Amridge University is also authorised by the Alabama Department of Post-Education. It is also authorised by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. The authorisation needs to be renewed each and every year. Renewals require the university to maintain high standards of educational practices, business practices, fiscal responsibilities, health as well as safety.

Ambridge University is home to the Turner School of Theology which is an Associate member of ATS, i.e. Association of Theological Schools in United States as well as Canada.

Federal Law has authorised the University to enrol non-immigrant students as well.

Facilities

Classroom Facilities

The University has its classrooms as well as Libraries downstairs whereas the administrative offices are located upstairs. The class rooms are well equipped with all kinds of multimedia equipment. Instructions as well as lectures can be streamed directly through the internet.

Students are provided with separate workstations and there is a buildingwide Wi-Fi access. Besides all these facilities, Amridge University is also maintaining Satellite campuses in Tennessee, Nashville, Phoenix and Arizona.

Library Facilities

The Amridge University Libraries are home to a number of religious as well as theological reference books. The libraries together hold around 80,000 titles, 800 audio-visual materials and close to 1,200 serial subscriptions.
